At the very heart of our products is our pure fair trade Himalayan salt

Our Himalayan salt, harvested from ancient, pollution-free sea beds, is rich in minerals and considered by many to be the purest salt on earth. Our specially-selected artisan partners overseas hand-sculpt magnificent salt crystals to create exquisite lamps that are works of art and natural ionizers.

We hand blend our salt with all natural and organic ingredients into exclusive formulas that work. We create only items we use ourselves. Our unique “living products” are freshly handcrafted in small batches, energetically enhanced, vegan, natural and organic, fair trade and eco-friendly.

So Well’s manufacturing is sustainable from our formulation to our recyclable and reusable packaging. The products we carry from associate manufacturers are specifically chosen and meet our standards for quality, service, and ecological and social conscience.

Organic minerals and natural salt have proved vital in empowering people through the ages to feel and look their best. 

Harnessing the health benefits of Himalayan salt, from breathing better to creating our own line of personal care products, empowered us to create wellness in our own lives.

So Well was launched in 2004, importing only the highest quality salt from sustainable sources to building our exclusive health and wellness product lines.

From this, our greatest reward is the community that is So Well; a diverse network of artisans, experts, crafters and practitioners that help our customers live better lives while helping to build a better world.

All share our passion and purpose: to provide the best, organic products crafted with loving intention for the highest good.

The partners who help formulate and produce our products are mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, sisters and brothers, and friends; They are customers who sought us out for our salt and were making personal care products for themselves and their families. So Well® sources our products from from other small crafters committed to wellness, organic, natural and all things So Well.

We are dedicated to fair trade and use suppliers dedicated to fair trade and sustainability.

Fair trade ensures that producers receive fair market prices, are free from labor abuses and use sustainable growing and production methods. In a world where corporate profits rule many crafters and farmers are often exploited, creating a cycle of poverty and environmental degradation, fair trade can break that cycle, creating better lives, stronger communities and a healthier environment. So Well® partners with artisan communities, promoting social justice, small business, and local non-profit organizations.  

We import all of our salt through a long-term direct relationship that creates mutual accountability. Our partners observe fair trade principles including 25% greater than average wages and human rights such as rest breaks, chilled water, protective clothing, safe working environments and medical care. You can be assured that our talented artisans are respected and cared for as valuable members of the So Well team. And you’re doing So Well for others, while enjoying our products.

Our first priority is to delight you. We strive to give you quick, easy, stress-free shopping as well as the highest quality products.

We are members of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Business Friends, Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, Leaping Bunny, Truth in Labeling, Green America, and a Chicago Fair Trade Member. Quality is crucial when purchasing salt products, as not all salt crystals are of the same quality. For instance, most salt lamps on the market consist of substandard crystal salts. Lighter in color than ours, these appear “washed out” and lack the prized, intense hues of dark red and flaming orange.

The same is true of our bath and edible salts. Deeper, richer colors, found only in top quality salts, provide more essential minerals and healthy negative ions so important for greater energy and health. Our obsession with quality extends to each and every ingredient in our gourmet, animal companion, personal care products and other lines we are developing.
